Privacy Policy

Information stored on your device

Episo stores information you create through your use of the app locally on your device. This may include:

• your Watchlist and Library
• watched movies, series, seasons, and episodes
• watch dates and viewing activity
• ratings
• episode and movie progress
• custom lists
• favorite actors
• poster preferences
• app preferences and settings

Episo does not require an account, and this information is not uploaded by Episo as a personal profile or account database.

Deleting Episo normally removes data stored within the app's local container, subject to standard iOS backup and restore behavior.

Movie and TV information

Episo uses data provided by The Movie Database (TMDB) to provide information about movies, TV shows, episodes, cast members, streaming availability, posters, and related content.

To retrieve this information, Episo communicates with an Episo-operated proxy hosted by Vercel, which then communicates with TMDB.

Depending on the feature being used, these requests may contain information such as:

• movie, TV show, or person identifiers
• search terms
• media type
• season numbers
• page numbers and other parameters required to retrieve content

For example, when you search for a movie or TV show, your search term is sent through the Episo proxy to TMDB so that matching results can be returned.

When Episo needs updated information about a title in your Watchlist, Library, statistics, or other parts of the app, the corresponding TMDB identifier may be sent to retrieve that information.

Episo's proxy does not intentionally store these search terms or media identifiers in a database, create user profiles from them, or use them for advertising or tracking.

Vercel and TMDB may process technical information necessary to provide their respective services according to their own privacy practices.

Where to Watch region

Episo uses your device's regional setting on first launch to select an appropriate region for the Where to Watch feature. You can change this region manually in Episo.

This setting is stored locally on your device.

Episo does not use GPS or iOS Location Services to determine your location. Your selected Where to Watch region is not sent to Episo's proxy as a location parameter. Instead, Episo retrieves available provider information and selects the appropriate regional information locally on your device.

Images

Movie and TV artwork, including posters, backdrops, cast images, and episode images, may be loaded from TMDB's image service.

Certain poster-information responses may also be temporarily cached by Episo's infrastructure to improve performance.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

Episo does not currently include third-party advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs.

Episo does not track you across apps or websites and does not use advertising identifiers for cross-app tracking.

Episo does not sell your personal information.

Accounts

Episo does not currently require or provide an Episo user account.

Because there is no Episo account, Episo does not maintain a server-side account containing your personal Watchlist, ratings, viewing history, or other locally stored tracking information.

Data retention and deletion

Personal viewing information stored by Episo is primarily stored locally on your device.

You can remove individual information through features provided within the app where available. Deleting the app removes its normal locally stored app data, subject to standard iOS backup and restore behavior.

Episo's proxy does not intentionally maintain a persistent database of your searches, Watchlist, ratings, or viewing history.

Third-party services

Episo relies on third-party infrastructure and content services to provide certain functionality.

The Movie Database (TMDB) provides movie, television, cast, episode, streaming-provider, image, and related metadata.

Vercel hosts Episo's server-side proxy used to communicate with TMDB.

These providers may process technical information when requests pass through their infrastructure. Their processing is governed by their respective privacy policies.

This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Episo may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves.

If Episo introduces features that materially change how information is collected, processed, or shared—such as user accounts, cloud synchronization, analytics, or additional external services—this policy will be updated accordingly.
